Bommai Nayagi: SICA Screening!

Recently released Tamil feature film Bommai Nayagi was screened for SICA members at Prasad lab preview theatre on 5th Feb 2023.

SICA member Athisayaraj is the cinematographer for this deeply affecting social drama which got very good appreciation from the SICA members after the screening.

BOMMAI NAYAGI starring  YOGI BABU, Directed by Shan and produced by Neelam Production Pa.Ranjith is all about a small family with no big aspirations forced to fight for the justice narrated with the beautiful Bonding between father and Daughter knitted around a sensitive issue.

Cinematographer Athisayaraj visuals focuses strongly towards the structure of the narrative and images takes the viewers to the period of 2006 around Cuddalore Village.

Speaking to SICA Athisayaraj states that he want to keep frames very simple but with strong composition, colors to look very subdued and natural.

After the show  Athisayaraj  was honored by Veteran Cinematographer Ashok Rajan, Treasurer Sakthi Saravanan, Cinematographers Velraj, Gopi Jagadeeswaran and Executive Committee Seviloraja welcomed the gathering.

This SICA screening had a very good attendance.
