Tolet: Tamil film hits Century

Tolet a Tamil feature film Directed by SICA member , popular writer and cinematographer Chezhiyan is making news at various international film festivals, already it has got top honor at 65th National Awards winning best regional language film.

Now over a short period of time  ‘Tolet’ has represented 100 International film-festivals, won awards at 26 festivals and over 80 official selection which is an achievement to be applauded.

Another key factor about Tolet is an Independent film, Even after digital era Indie films in Tamil is a  rare one except few good films made are ‘Madhubanakadai’ and more recently ‘Thelivupathaiyin neesa Dhooram’.

The upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI), scheduled to be held in Goa, will be screening 212 films from 68 countries, Tolet is under competitive section and competing in three categories inclusive for Best Debut Director.

Speaking to Director Chezhiyan he is overwhelmed about Tolet film response at International Circuit and gearing up for a theatrical release and he is very confident that this award winning film will get good response from audiences.
