The New DSLR(T) CAMERAS

New mirrorless cameras with full frame sensor making news that offers 4k video with some interesting features.

Panasonic Lumix DC-S1

The Panasonic Lumix DC-S1 is the company’s first mid-range, full frame mirrorless camera. It is built around the existing L-mount originally developed by Leica, which is now also supported by Sigma as part of the so-called “L-mount alliance.”

The S1 features a 24MP CMOS sensor. Paired with a new VENUS processor, the stabilized 24MP CMOS sensor in the S1 delivers a high native ISO range up to 51,200; bursts at up to 9 fps in AFS mode; and 6 fps with continuous AF. Typical of stabilized sensors, the S1 also has a multi-shot high-RES  capability that allows the creation of 96MP images.

Technical features.

24.2MP full-frame CMOS sensor

5-axis in-body “Dual IS” system for stills and video

Native ISO 100-51,200

Up to 9 fps shooting in AFS, up to 6 fps with continuous AF

UHD 4K at 30 fps from full-width, 60 fps from an APS-C size crop

One XQD slot and one SD card slot (with UHS-II support)

Important and interesting about this camera is its Native ISO range is wide…it offers very clean color, contrast and stunning video at ISO 20000 range.

SONY ALPHA A7R MARK IV

Sony has introduced what they are calling a “different kind of monster,” the Sony A7R IV. This new full-frame mirrorless camera brings  new features and improvements, including the world’s first full-frame 61-megapixel image sensor. The backside-illuminated sensor promises up to 15 stops of dynamic range and has a native ISO range of 100-32,000 expandable to 50-102,400.

For video users, the A7R IV can record full-width 4K UHD video at up to 30p or Full HD at up to 120p. And the A7R IV offers a big innovation for video autofocus: real-time eye AF.

Technical Features

61-megapixel full-frame BSI image sensor

15-stop dynamic range

Native ISO range of 100-32,000

567 phase-detect autofocus points

AI-based real-time eye-detect autofocus and subject tracking

26-megapixel APS-C mode with 325 PDAF points

Full-resolution continuous shooting with AF/AE at up to 10 frames per second

4K UHD video at up to 30 frames per second with real-time Eye AF

In-body 5-axis image stabilization promising up to 5.5 stops of stabilization

FUJI FILM MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERA GFX 100

The GFX, FUJIFILM’s mirrorless digital camera system, the GFX100 uses a large format CMOS sensor with over 100 million pixels which makes this the highest class resolution mirrorless digital camera ever produced. The GFX100, is the coming together of FUJIFILM’s unique blend of imaging and optical technologies.

The GFX 100 is big and expensive compared to regular cameras, but in the world of medium format photography (sensors larger than 35mm full frame)

The first 100 megapixels Large Format sensor camera, capable of shooting 4K video and having fast autofocus, In Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), 10 bit internal video recording and much more.

The GFX 100 is the first to combine a few interesting technologies with each other. The heart of the camera is a newly developed, back illuminated, 102 megapixels, 43.8 x 32.9 CMOS image sensor (Approximately 1.7 times larger than a 35mm Full Frame sensor). Behind you will find the “X-Processor 4” image processing engine.
