Black Magic 6k new Camera!

Black Magic cinema camera became popular among indie film makers for its cost and form factor and it had reasonable features for filming motion picture film or documentary.

It had its own line up of cameras which were successful with Ursa mini pro 4.6k and a 12k camera.

Now a new full frame 6k camera with a very compact design and a 12 bit raw are interesting specifications.

Additionally a OLED view finder is also a welcome one.

According to Black Magic press release “The camera captures vibrant, colorful images with very natural skin tones and boasts a custom-designed low-pass filter to match its sensor. The advanced L-mount design provides added flexibility with new and vintage lenses, and the camera employs fast CFexpress media for recording, delivering reliable content acquisition for cloud and mobile work, with the bonus of recording Blackmagic RAW and H.264 proxies simultaneously. The 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO of up to 26,600”

Biggest disappointment would be no internal ND filters.

Other than that this camera boasts good technical specs.

Price factor is very reasonable with $2500.
