Sunday – IFFI Movie

If you need to call a movie as a film festival movie then this movie sits on top of my mind in the 54th edition of IFFI GOA. This movie deserves a standing ovation. It looked like I was peeking into the family events of an elderly couple.

The film tells the story of an elderly couple living a peaceful life in a village, with their eldest son living nearby and their youngest son working abroad. It depicts the struggle and conflict between two generations. The youngest son slowly indicates the changes happening in the world and trying to make the adamant parents understand about it.

Among the elderly couple, Mother gets adapted to change quickly than the Father. The old man sticks to his old school of thoughts in everything. The movie takes time to establish the living style and adamant nature of the old man and the woman.

Each time the old man is pushed to change, he reacts in a quirky way. In front of him his living style gets changed and he enters into the digital world by accepting the change in the end.

Kudos to the director for making such a heart warming movie. Even though it has lengthy shots, it will not be boring. Surely there are a few negative points but that doesn’t affect the flow of the story.

A must watch movie for all the movie buffs. I would give 8/10 for this movie.
