Milos Foreman is one of the greatest filmmaker of world cinema, recently he passed away at the age of 86 years, Over 60 years of film making he directed only 16 films, he was so choosy about his work,\u00a0\u00a0Milos Forman won two Oscars, for One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest<\/strong>‘ and Amadeus.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Milos foreman is said to be non sentimental person in his life, he quoted \u201cEverything I\u00a0did in my\u00a0life I\u00a0did because I\u00a0wanted to\u00a0win. The\u00a0will to\u00a0win belongs to my\u00a0essential motivational powers. However, winning is quite exhausting so the\u00a0next thing, which always comes to my mind, is this: Fine, I\u00a0have won, but that\u2019s not it. Next time it’s going to\u00a0be even harder.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Milos Forman was born in\u00a01932 into a teacher\u2019s family in\u00a0the\u00a0small town of\u00a0Caslav (Central Bohemian region) of Czeck . He was the\u00a0youngest of\u00a0three brothers. His father was a\u00a0member of\u00a0a\u00a0resistance group against the\u00a0Nazi occupation, and was arrested by the Gestapo when Milos was eight years old.<\/p>\n

Forman attended a\u00a0boarding school for war orphans in\u00a0Podebrady,\u00a0The theatre has fascinated Forman since childhood. The\u00a0first time he experienced the world of theatre was during the\u00a0war. His older brother Pavel worked as a\u00a0painter in\u00a0a\u00a0barnstormer\u2019s group called The\u00a0East Bohemian Light Opera Company. Forman describes his first encounter with\u00a0the\u00a0world of\u00a0show business.<\/p>\n

Milos Forman was\u00a0a New Wave filmmaker before immigrating to the United States,\u00a0In 1974, Forman was given\u00a0 an offer to\u00a0direct a\u00a0film adaptation of\u00a0Ken Kesey\u2019s novel\u00a0One Flew Over The\u00a0Cuckoo\u2019s Nest<\/em><\/strong>. the\u00a0film\u00a0was a\u00a0huge blockbuster and received Academy Awards in\u00a0all the\u00a0main categories.<\/p>\n

One Flew Over the Cuckoo\u2019s Nest was one of the longest running films in history of cinema especially sweedish film loving public had a regular option of\u00a0 viewing it through 1987\u201411 years\u00a0\u00a0after its initial release.<\/p>\n

One flew over the cuckoo’s nest inspired many filmmakers around the world and even in Indian films the story was adapted.<\/p>\n

His another masterpiece ‘Amadeus’\u00a0\u00a0details the rise & fall of one of history’s magnificent composer Mozart’s life through the eyes of much talented another composer\u00a0Antonio Salieri who had been in envy of the success of Mozart\u00a0 Great acting, beautiful settings, nice costumes, dramatic plot, & outstanding music makes this film an epic to see. Won 8 Oscars, including Best Picture.<\/p>\n

In order to make\u00a0Amadeus\u00a0a cinematic rather than theatrical experience, Milos Forman applies various technical means to convey emotion as well as information. One device that he uses often is a series of fast cuts from one scene to another it serves to\u00a0 become a counterpart of the natural sequence of scenes flashing up in the old man’s memory.<\/p>\n

He served as Jury head for prestigious Cannes Film festival and Venice film festival.<\/p>\n

Milos Forman, who died on April 14 2018, \u00a0will be remembered as\u00a0 A Rebel in His Time, and for the Future\u00a0has left behind some of the most sharply observed portraits of human behavior in cinema he was\u00a0\u00a0hailed as ‘Champion of Artists’ Rights’ by Directors Guild of America.<\/p>\n
