Cannes Film Festival this year is very special as film world started to breath out from the pandemic which halted progress of Entertainment Industry.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has shortlisted six films which will be screened at the 10-day film festival, which starts on May 17.<\/p>\n

The lineup includes R. Madhavan\u2019s Rocketry \u2013 The Nambi Effect (Hindi, English, Tamil), Godavari (Marathi), Alpha Beta Gamma (Hindi), Boomba Ride (Mishing), Dhuin (Hindi, Marathi) and Tree Full of Parrots (Malayalam).<\/p>\n

The restored version of master filmmaker G Aravindan\u2019s all-time malayalam classic Thampu<\/strong> (The Circus Tent) will be showcased at this year\u2019s Cannes Classic section.<\/p>\n

Film Heritage Foundation of India has restored Aravindan’s film in collaboration with Martin Scorsese Foundation and Cineteca di Bologna.<\/p>\n

Among those reportedly walking the red carpet are Actor Akshay kumar,music Director A. R. Rahman, Actors R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Nayanthara, Tamannaah Bhatia, Director Shekhar Kapur, CBFC Chief Prasoon Joshi, Ricky Kej and more.<\/p>\n
