Visual approach wise I didn\u2019t use any camera filters like Enhancers, polarizers or promist which was very popular at that time. And technically i never wanted KamalHassan spectacles to see any light source or unwanted reflections, so I used many negative fills at outdoors, I also wanted some contrast and rich blacks. I tried to give monsoonish feel to the imagery.<\/p>\n<p>There was a flood sequence which happens in northern India was created at Vahuni studios Chennai, we used nearly 600 tanker lorries \u2026where water would drain in quick time\u2026so as a cinematographer I have to find a solution. How to fix it..then we used some plastic sheets to avoid leakage of water in the ground then filled up water to hip level in an outdoor environment.<\/p>\n<p>Coming to Naan Kadavul which has similar philosophical tones in the story but my approach was quite opposite, here I tried hard lighting with sharp shadows ,warm tone in the lights, Lenses used are Master primes, composition wise I always tried to use leading lines in the frame.<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7987\" src=\"http:\/\/thesica.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-150714-0bmr7a29kt.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"592\" height=\"841\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thesica.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-150714-0bmr7a29kt.jpg 592w, https:\/\/thesica.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/image-150714-0bmr7a29kt-211x300.jpg 211w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 592px) 100vw, 592px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tell us your experience on Imsai Arasan 23m \u00a0pulikesi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When I got script from Director Chimbu Devan I clearly understood there is winner in this film..but it had its own challenges a multiple genre humour,political and period drama.<\/p>\n<p>As I was great fan of\u00a0 Buster Keaton films of silent era \u2026I had the images that could replicate it..so\u00a0 tried to compose most of the shots with close ups then to a wide shots to get Vadivelu\u2019s body language.
