The statuette currently weighs 5.5 lbs and stands 10.75 inches tall.<\/p>\n

The Golden Globe trophy has a 24-karat, gold-plated zinc die cast top.<\/p>\n

The Globe is still produced with the symbolic filmstrip wrapped around it.<\/p>\n

The exotic marble base and tapered sub base atop a rectangular pillar are some of the other highlights of the statuette.<\/p>\n

The statuettes are housed in leather-bound custom cases with red velvet lining.<\/p>\n

The exterior of the box is embossed with the Golden Globe Awards logo in gold.<\/p>\n
