Pariyerum Perumal is one of the most disturbing films made focusing on the  honour killings and misuse of power by those in authority.

This critically acclaimed feature film is directed by Maari Selvaraj who  brings  intense look at the  sad stories of how our young lives are lost by brutal murder in the name of castism.

Along with the film most appreciated is the cinematography by Sridhar, who has brought the barren lands  with warm tones and captured  different times of the day- like morning, afternoon, evening and night that  gives a real passage of time, which associate with reality.

Speaking to this ambitious cinematographer Sridhar  claims that he shot complete film with 3 axis gimbal to felicitate elaborate camera moves along with the characters and also breaks the stereotypes that is associated with regular blocking of scenes with master shot cutting into details.

According to Sridhar  Camera movement  for this film is a key element that gives the pace and editing style to the film

As he decided to shoot complete film with Gimbal, felt he should operate the camera with gimbal to take control on composition of the shot. Initially for first few days shooting on hand held gimbal through out the day was very difficult…but after couple of days he started enjoying it completely.

Coming to lensing Sridhar’s shot 90% of the film with 16 and 24mm  as he wanted to achieve deep focus cinematography.
