Right from the day Cinema was invented it always faced hardships to survive as popular entertainment medium among public…History to be remembered even introduction of luxury cars affected theatre going public during early 1920’s.

Invention of sound, talkie films, color films, widescreen formats all happened to get movie audiences to theatre.

Recent times movies can be watched with high quality sound and picture with online streaming – even mobile phone is enough for today’s digital crowded world.

Cinemas now shifting from 2k  to 4k projection  is happening in a rapid pace all around the world. Televisions also upgrading to UHD ( Ultra definition 4k ) and news of 8k Television and broadcast to happen in  very near future.

SONY now has made a huge step of building a format named PREMIUM LARGE FORMAT  ‘PLF’.

Sony is introducing Sony Digital Cinema, the company’s experiential premium large-format (PLF) movie theater auditorium.  Working in conjunction with state-of-the-art movie theater company, Galaxy Theatres, the world’s first location will debut at their Las Vegas Boulevard Mall venue, which is planned to open in Spring 2019.

Sony uses a dual laser projection system – which provides exceptional picture quality and immersion – along with powerful sound and luxury reclining seats. Sony says that with its system “you’ll pull audiences deep into the action from the very first frame” and adds that “with our easy-to-manage projectors it’s simple to switch between 2D and 3D for each show.”

Sony new screen size also will be very huge From 32.80 feet screens right up to 75.46 feet and beyond with a high quality 8k images.
