As the name implies, Cineo match box light is slightly bigger to the size of a match box. It uses LED bulbs and front panel is phosphor coated to bring pure color of the light. This light unit is very efficient and can be easily placed any where.

.Matchbox LED Light Kit from Cineo features Remote Phosphor Technology for changing color temperature by simply swapping out panels for higher output and greater color accuracy.

It has high CRI ratings of 98 at 3200K and 94 at 5600K  Also, output at 3′ is rated at 30.5 foot candles at 3200K and 37.5 foot candles at 5600K. Additionally, it has a wide beam angle of 160° along with both local and DMX dimming options from 0-100%.

The panel is durable with a weather-resistant construction and the units are made in the USA. The 3.25 x 5.25 x 1.5″ panel also emits zero UV light and has a 1/4″-20 thread on the base for mounting in a variety of situations.

An AC adapter is included, along with a 6′ extension cable and both 3200K and 5600K phosphor panels while optional battery kits can convert it for ultraportable operation. Additionally, 2700° k and 4300° Kelvin unit panels are also available.

RPT remote phosphor technology

Since the introduction of digital lighting into film, Television and Photography color rendering has been an issue. The inherently discontinuous light spectra of traditional LED sources has made it difficult for a digital light to approach the color rendering quality of a black-body radiator like a tungsten filament.

The first thing RPT is about remote phosphor technology is that the panels in front are not filters, that are actually light comes through Phosphor emitted from every LED light.

The TruColor® series utilizes the latest advancement in lighting science, Remote Phosphor Technology (RPT) to eliminate those color-accuracy issues. Instead of relying on LEDs as a source of illumination, TruColor fixtures rely on a separate phosphor substrate to emit high-quality predictable light when excited by high-frequency wavelengths like blue LEDs. The result is a continuous linear spectrum unlike any other digital light developed for image capture.

RPT employs a transparent surface onto which a special phosphor coating is applied. These phosphors are excited at two precise wavelengths, in this case with LEDs completely separated from the phosphor substrate, resulting in a very stable high-CRI white light.

Color temperature remains consistent throughout the lifetime of the fixture, because the phosphors are not subject to heat degradation, unlike typical white LEDs.

Color consistency fixture to fixture is also guaranteed, because it’s easier to accurately coat the phosphor ‘recipe’ onto a substrate instead of directly onto a diode.

Most Useful light which is portable, durable lighting system that is perfect for any videographer, photographer or filmmaker in need of a simple lighting solution while on the go.

Cineo Lighting Basic Matchbox Light Fixture comes with a 120-240VAC Adapter, 3200K and 5600K Phosphor Panels and a 6′ Extension Cord.

It is priced approx $462.
