Red 8k cinema camera demo started by 10.45am with a very good attendance from SICA members. The event was inaugurated by B.Kannan, the General secretary of SICA in the presence of Treasurer Ramanath Shetty , Joint secretaries Balamurugan, Sridhar and executive committee members N.Alagappan, Ekhambaram, Illavarasu and Illamparuthi.
Cinematographer CJ Rajkumar gave a detailed overview of the latest Red Digital cinema camera for understanding its key technical points .

This day long workshop on the latest Red Helium based sensor 8k DSMC 2 cinema cameras with the new HELIUM sensor was very useful in terms of understanding the complete workflow and accessories of RED.
Many aspiring young Dop’s participated with enthusiasm interacted in the session that carried
lot of inputs for better understanding of current Red cinema camera especially DSMC 2 Series.
The Advantages of shooting in 8k resolution was a key part, followed by using color bar and histograms for exposure accuracy, Interchangeable OLPF.
