SICA AGM:2019

Sica Annual General body meeting was held on 10th March 2019 at St.Mathias Church Hall Ashok Nagar Chennai between 10 am and 1 pm followed by Lunch.

Newly elected Vice president, Treasurer, Joint secretary’s ,Executive committee team where introduced with the presence of Sica President P.C.Sreeram and General Secretary B.Kannan.

Joint Secretary Ilavarasu announced One minute silence to be observed as mark of respect  for the departed souls of Sica members during 2018.

Sica honored its member Chezhiyan.Ra for his achievement for his directorial debut Tolet which won Many International and National Award, he was presented certificate of appreciation along with a mini standee of his image.

Cinematographers Babu, S.Ravivarman and R.Rathnavelu were appreciated for getting Kalaimamani awards from Government of Tamil Nadu.

Treasurer B.Balamurugan presented Audit report for two years (2017 &2018)with accurate details, few doubts raised by member was cleared.

Fefsi Vice president and Sica executive committee Sridhar announced about Skill training program a central government initiative in association with Fefsi will be done in nearest future.

Sica President P.C.Sreeram said Skill training certificate would be beneficial for future especially when shooting at abroad. He also urged that separate meeting would be arranged to Sica members to detail about Skill development program.

A member expressed his plight on membership issue, President P.C.Sreeram keenly observing the proceedings gave solution on the stage itself.

Sica General Secretary B.Kannan requested cinematographers who are doing films to donate part of  money possible from their front to Sica for welfare activities.

B.Kannan  as part of his gesture announced Rs.1 lakh as donation to SICA.

Vice President S.Saravanan on his acceptance speech thanked former Treasurer Rm.Ramanath Shetty for his service to Sica and also requested for his guidance for  future and he added many new initiative are in plan for future,immediate one would be introduction of SICA app which will have details of members  and technical updates.

Election officers Shri PiraiSudan, Shri Kanniappan, Shri Muneer Ahmed, Shri Murthy honored for successfully conducting fair SICA election 2019.

Finally P.C.Sreeram and B.Kannan thanked members for the participation and requested hereafter  there should be place for  positive discussion for healthy future of SICA.
