SICA ELECTIONS 2019

SICA is one of the most prestigious union of  Southern Indian Cinematographers, During AGM 2018 decision was taken to  conduct elections.

After Legal proceedings SICA elections was announced for year 2019.

SICA elections was conducted peacefully and successfully on 10th February 2019 Under the supervision of Chief Election officer Kavignar Piraisudan followed by Election officers Muneer Ahmed, K.R.Murthy and K.V.Kanniyappan.

Polling started from Morning 8am and closed by 5pm on the same day. Cinematographers from neighboring states Andhra, Kerala, Karnataka came down to exercise their right to vote. The day went on to see galaxy of cinematographers SICA membership number one Shri Malli Irani, other senior cinematographers like Namdev, Venkateshwaralu, M.C.Sekhar, Raghu, Soman all where there to vote and it was inspiring to many young members gathered at the venue.

Venue: Cine Musicians Union Vadapalani chennai

Election venue was equipped with CCTV cameras, all the voting process was video recorded.

Voting process was over around 5pm and vote counting procedure started after some time.

Election results were announced by Chief Election officer PiraiSudan  during late hours.
