Cineon R15 is a big LED light creates a strong single shadow high beam light.

Recently introduced high-output Cineon ReFlex R15 hard light, received a lot of attention when it was introduced at the BSC Expo.

ReFlex R15 harnesses several patented technologies to deliver over 90,000 lumens of colour-accurate digital lighting on less than 1,500 watts.

It is said to be equavalent to 4k HMI par and 10 kw Tungsten light.

By providing variable CCT from 2700K to 6500K, and 70,000-hour operation between bulb replacements, Cineo says it can outperform both Tungsten and HMI sources, eliminating the deficiencies of traditional sources.

Key features include: 0-100% colour-stable dimming; on-board DMX and network control; no hot re-strike delays, and no hot surfaces – the bulb can be touched at 100% power; instant response for dynamic lighting effects; and flicker-free operation to 10,000fps. The ReFlex R15 also operates without a ballast on household circuits.

the R15 delivers exceptional hard light that can run on a 20A circuit while consuming only 1500W. With a spot-to-flood adjustment from 15 to 75°, it enables beam control like no other light. The R15 creates a single outstanding shadow at any beam angle, with a flat exposure level across the beam. In addition to power efficiency and versatility, this 1.6 x 2.6 x 2.2′ diameter LED light features Cineo Lighting’s patented liquid-cooled system, a generous color temperature range from 2500 to 10,000K, and accuracy in color rendering, as shown by its high CRI of 97. Included is a removable yoke with a 1-1/8″ Junior pin for convenient mounting and a tough ATA-style road case for safe storage and transportation of your fixture.

The R15’s polycarbonate radial light engine can withstand extreme impact, while the unique immersion cooling system is electrically secure and completely sealed for safe use in wet locations without additional protection. IP23-rated, this LED light is suitable for outdoor applications with wet weather conditions.

The R15’s performance is backed by its design and robust all-aluminum construction. The light’s included open-face hard light reflector is easily removable, creating a 180° evenly dispersed Lambertian light source. The reflector can be replaced with a variety of structured soft lighting solutions such as softboxes, barndoors, space light skirts, and more. These separately available accessories will turn your R15 into a high-powered soft lighting source with a controllable shape. Besides the included yoke, three 3/8″-16 threads on the back of the fixture work as reinforced hanging points that connect with a separately available suspension cable for top-hanging of the light. Its cooling system combined with compact electronics makes a total weight of 75 lb conveniently manageable.

The reflector in a lighting device is an electromagnetic antenna in exactly the same way as a giant radio-telescope or satellite dish. More size means more gain and more gain means more light, and that happens by capturing more of the photons coming out of the LEDs themselves.
