Sony a7R III is the first Sony mirror less other than the pro A9 with two card slots, and has just as tough a mechanical shutter,The 35 mm full-frame Exmor R CMOS image sensor features 42.4-megapixel resolution back illumination and gapless on-chip lens design for extraordinary sensitivity and dynamic range, anti-reflection (AR) coating on sensor seal glass and other innovations that unleash the sensor’s power to make images look realistic.

Video recording capabilities have also been extended for enhanced quality when recording UHD 4K video with the full width of the full-frame sensor, or when using a Super 35 area and 5K oversampling to minimise moire and aliasing. Additionally, benefiting both stills and video operation, the a7R III retains the 5-axis Steady Shot inside sensor-shift image stabilisation.

It has S-Log 2 and 3  recording   a new hybrid log gamma  (HLG) profile a  HDR video where you don’t shoot log but still retain shadow and highlight information and have all your contrast and colours.
