M.C.Sekar : Memories!

Veteran Cinematographer M.C.Sekar who was very popularly known for his classic images he shot for a trend setting coming of age Love story ‘Paneer Pushpangal’ where the frames had beautiful Golden Backlight used against the sun.

M.C.Sekar ( M. no.163) aged 91, expired on  (24-02-2023) due to prolonged illness. SICA General Secretary Ilavarasu says that his cinematography contribution to the Tamil Industry is very important and he has done every kind of Genre and excelled in all the formats.

He has won State Government Award for Walter Vetrivel.

தமிழின் மிக மூத்த கலைஞரான இவர் கருப்பு வெள்ளை காலகட்டத்திலிருந்து எண்பதுகள், தொண்ணூறுகள் வரை தொடர்ந்து முன்னணி ஒளிப்பதிவாளராகத் திகழ்ந்தார்.

இயக்குநர் பி.வாசுவின் பெரும்பாலான திரைப்படங்களில் ஒளிப்பதிவாளராகப் பணியாற்றியவர் எம்.சி.சேகர். இவரது ஒளிப்பதிவில் முக்கியமான படைப்பு பன்னீர் புஷ்பங்கள். 1981ம் ஆண்டு வெளியான இத்திரைப்படத்தில் ஊட்டியின் மலைத்தொடர்கள், இளங்காலையின் ஒளி என அனைத்தையும் படைப்பாற்றல் மிக்க காட்சிகளாக உருவாக்கினார்.

வால்டர் வெற்றிவேல் திரைப்படத்திற்காக தமிழக அரசின் சிறந்த ஒளிப்பதிவாளர் விருதைப் பெற்றவர்.
