2019 NAB companies like ARRI,RED, BLACK MAGIC,SONY ,CANON,PANASONIC,SIGMA had their share of new products as expected.

Most surprising was Multi Lens Turret a 3 in 1 lens….

Cinematographers of  who shot during 1950’s . 60’s and 70’s had hands on with this lens system … Mitchel Cameras had multi lens turret system…during late 70’s and 80’s Arri cameras which had reflex viewing single lens mount become popular and standard.

A New lens turret designed by  Ian Kerr  is  for Digital Cameras  is three lenses in one single unit  attached to the camera by turning the ring, it enables to  quickly switch between lenses. For example, you can go from a 50mm prime lens to a tele range  or a wide angle lens.

Lens turret which has three different focal length will be very useful for cinematographers to choose or change lens during shoot just by turning the ring which saves time also helps to avoid the use of zoom lens.

Ian Kerr designed  Multi Turret is compatible with all Sony E-Mount cameras. The back of the Multi Turret can be adapted to PL mount if needed. That way, it should support Red or Arri cameras in the future.
